Cooper Business Information Services, Inc. (CBIS) was established in 1990 for the purpose of providing the banking and business community with up to date proprietary management information. Clients include trade associations, banks, and other business organizations. Surveys conducted have included those related to officer and employee salaries and compensation, employee benefits, incentive compensation, director compensation, membership needs assessments, customer feedback and service evaluations, and new product/service needs assessments. Since March 2009, CBIS has provided loan review services for client banks. Recent and current clients include Independent Bankers Association of Texas, IBAT Services Inc., and the Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma, as well as numerous community banks in Texas and Oklahoma. John Cooper, President of CBIS, is a fifteen year veteran of community banking having served the last six years of his banking career as President & CEO of a suburban community bank in the DFW Metroplex. He has also been involved in overseeing the financial, insurance, and employee benefits management areas of the family business established by his father in 1947 and now owned and managed by his brothers and sister.
